A Pound Of Sweat, A Bag Of Seed (Seizing Your Opportunities)

Image
Are you truly seizing your opportunities and making the most of today? Too often, we underestimate this powerful, strategic principle. Instead, we waste precious moments “dead scrolling,” letting valuable lessons and life-changing opportunities pass us by. Decide your course. Commit to your plan. And never resent the preparation—because your peace is born from it. "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." – Abraham Lincoln Autumn is more than just a beautiful season — it’s a living lesson in preparation and reward. The changing leaves, the brilliant colors, the full buds… all stand as proof that what was sown months ago has now reached its peak. Nothing can hide the harvest. Maturity is in the air. Our lives work the same way. When we commit to preparation, we put ourselves in the best position to seize opportunities and protect ourselves from poor choices. Preparation isn’t wasted time — it’s the sharpe...

If God Doesn't Exist Then Shut-Up About It

Why Are You So Mad at a God You Don’t Believe In? One day a man asked me, “Why should I believe in God?” My response was simple: “If you’re asking me that… then you already do.” – Fuel ⛽ I’ve been criticized, mocked, and disrespected for believing in a God I love deeply. But here’s the thing — I don’t really understand the anger from those who don’t believe. So many seem enraged at the very mention of faith. They complain about Christians knocking on doors, saying things like, “Don’t you know Jesus loves you?” And the response? “I’ll release my dog on them.” I’ve seen posts that say things like: “Eff your religion.” “Jesus doesn’t exist.” “The Bible is just mythology.” “There’s no such thing as sin.” “Don’t bring that crap to me.” But here's my honest question: What are you trying to prove, and who are you trying to prove it to? Even online, I notice something strange. Sometimes I can’t type the word “God” without it auto-correcting...

When No One Understands - Run Anyway

Image
Shucks, running late, I dashed into the street, weaving through a sea of moving cars—heart pounding, urgency pulsing through my veins. To a stranger watching from the curb, I probably looked reckless—irresponsible, even. Another might shake their head, wondering what madness possessed a man to dart through traffic like that. Yet someone else might pause and think: “Whatever he’s running to must be important.” Isn’t that just like life? People will always have an opinion, a perception, or even a plan—for a life that isn’t theirs. They’ll judge your journey without knowing your path. They’ll speak on your decisions without ever walking in your shoes. And every now and then, someone might catch a glimpse of what you’re chasing—but still not fully understand your “why.” But in the middle of all that noise—the hustle, the bustle, the criticism—there’s one person who truly knows what it takes to keep going, to show up, to be accountable: you. ...

Be Effective, Not Busy

Image
Sometimes, I catch myself buzzing around like a busy bee—doing this, doing that—but by the end of the day, I realize I’ve been busy without actually being effective. That’s a trap we’ve got to watch out for: staying in motion just so we can say, “I’m busy.” But here’s the truth—we need to challenge ourselves. Ask yourself honestly: “Is what I’m doing right now truly effective, or just keeping me busy?” Success doesn't come from motion alone. It comes from strategy. We’ve got to be intentional about how we spend our time. And let’s break a myth while we’re at it: You don’t need to be negotiating mergers or making huge money moves to be considered productive. What really matters—how you govern your life, your time, your family, and your walk with God— that’s what makes the biggest difference. That’s the real work, and it deserves your best time and attention. Managing your time and expectations should be a daily practice. We’ve got to s...

Introspection

Image
What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life? It’s time to sharpen the knives in the drawer—because if I want a clean cut, I can’t keep struggling with dull edges. The strategy that I prefer is introspection. In moments of introspection, I hear God most clearly. But He speaks to a soul that is still. This quiet reflection brings comfort, because it’s in this sacred pause that I’m able to realign what’s been out of place. Here, I find calm amid the chaos, and the strength to navigate the storms that rage within. Check out Little Bites Make Full Stomachs

Winning Principle #1

Winning Principle #1: Know Yourself The winning principle for today is simple but powerful: get to know yourself . Who are you— really ? This is a question I continue to explore in my own life. And the more I search, the more I realize this: if you don’t understand the real you , any attempt at change will be temporary, shallow, or forced. See, real transformation doesn’t start with your habits, your routine, or your public image. It starts with identity. Too many people try to change their representative—the version of themselves they show to the world—instead of doing the deeper work of discovering, understanding, and reshaping who they truly are at the core. That’s why lasting change feels so hard. It’s not that you’re weak—it’s that you’re starting in the wrong place. So today, make the commitment to turn inward. Get honest. Ask the hard questions. Because once you know yourself, you can begin to grow yourself. And that’s where the real power lives. ...
