If God Doesn't Exist Then Shut-Up About It

Why Are You So Mad at a God You Don’t Believe In?
One day a man asked me, “Why should I believe in God?”
My response was simple:
“If you’re asking me that… then you already do.”

I’ve been criticized, mocked, and disrespected for believing in a God I love deeply. But here’s the thing — I don’t really understand the anger from those who don’t believe.
So many seem enraged at the very mention of faith. They complain about Christians knocking on doors, saying things like, “Don’t you know Jesus loves you?” And the response?
“I’ll release my dog on them.”
I’ve seen posts that say things like:
“Eff your religion.”
“Jesus doesn’t exist.”
“The Bible is just mythology.”
“There’s no such thing as sin.”
“Don’t bring that crap to me.”
But here's my honest question:
What are you trying to prove, and who are you trying to prove it to?
Even online, I notice something strange. Sometimes I can’t type the word “God” without it auto-correcting to lowercase, as if my faith deserves less dignity. Some platforms won’t even let you capitalize the “J” in Jesus.
That’s not just a typo — that’s censorship.
So let me ask:
If God doesn’t exist to you, why are you so loud about it?
Why do I have to endure hostility about a God you claim is imaginary — just to ease your discomfort or justify your disbelief?
Why must Christians always be the ones to apologize, back down, or stay quiet to avoid offending someone else's disbelief?
Look — if you choose to live without God, that’s your decision. You’re free to believe or not believe. But I’m not here to debate theology with anger. I'm here to live out my faith with love.
I’ll still show you kindness.
I’ll still treat you with respect.
Because that’s the love of Jesus Christ working through me.
But don’t be surprised when I say:
“Jesus loves you.”
Or: “Turn away from sin.”
Or: “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.”
And yes — without Him, you will die and face eternity without God.
That’s not hate speech.
That’s a warning spoken out of love, not disrespect.
So again, I ask:
Why should a message about a loving, merciful God be met with such hate and anger — unless it touches something deep inside you?
Maybe the real question isn't about whether God exists.
Maybe it’s:
What are you really so mad about?
